Thursday, November 1           The first of Nov.  Is it possible?  I am thankful that I’m well, happy, can see, hear, talk and enjoy life to its utmost.  I wish everyone could.  Mother went to Webster this afternoon.  She was going to the Doctor’s but it got so late she couldn’t.  I went over to Norma’s before supper and to Pellet’s collecting those Food Conservation cards.  Mrs. P asked me to write for the Webster Herald for 9 mile point news.  Mamma says I may.
Friday, November 2    Dancing School.  First time Grace came out.  May Jones awful sick.  Inflammation of lining of brain, typhoid fever, etc. No more blood that a chicken.

Saturday, November 3            Halloween party at Fosters.  Smith’s and Lauer’s there and Almon Doan.  My fortune was .  My wish can I tell you – my diary?  Will later.  Not coming true.  Very disappointed.  Long journey with initiation.  Wish again comes true.  Wish again.  Light and dark man coming to see me.  I expect them.  Mother is suspicious. (Ha Ha) I be think she’ll not let me go. ??  But the light card follows all the way through.  I have good fortune.

Sunday, November 4              Grace and I took down trimmings?  Mr. and Mrs. Metzger here for supper.  Grace went home.

Monday, November 5             School

Tuesday, November 6             Election!  I have a very bad cold.  Sore throat and everything.

Wednesday, November 7       Town goes “Bone-dry”  Suffrage – No  But state wins
“good”,  54 votes to hear from soldiers.  Town may no wet yet. As it was only 25 to the dryness.

Thursday, November 8           I’m, better now.  Took bath tonight.  Awful weather

Friday, November 9                Dancing School again.  Fine time

Saturday, November 10          I went to blacksmith shop with Sambo.  Everybody laughed at me.  He is so slow.  I took the dog along.  Drove the break cart.  Good weather, Indian Summer.  Hazels’ sick.

Sunday, November 11                        Nice Day.  Grace out.  I rode to Webster with her and Roy in auto, Earl and Hazel were down.  Samuel Metzger was out again.  Papa came home.

Monday, November 12           School once more.  We had a test in History.  Irma Struck didn’t do bad but fair.  She never plays fair anyhow.  Always copies everything.  A fine day.
