A few words about volunteers

The mission of the Webster Museum and and Historical Society is to stimulate interest in the historical heritage of Webster and to this end, to collect, preserve, catalog and display articles of historical interest and local significance.

This is what we do, and we do it all with VOLUNTEERS. we have no payroll.

To our VOLUNTEERS we say THANK YOU, probably not often enough. Some afternoons at the Museum are quiet for docents. It takes a bit of patience to keep in mind that "Those also serve who only stand and wait". The number of visitors increases each year.

We need volunteers for the following duties:

Docents (hosts and hostesses)
Training is provided.
Docents work in pairs unless you prefer to work alone, 2 1/2 hours per month. (Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday 2-4:30).

Substitute Docent
Fill in for docents who are ill, out of town etc.

Data Entry Volunteer
For our inventory system on Monday Mornings from 9-12.
You do need some Computer skills.

Distribution Volunteer
Delivers Museum Brochures to locations in Webster once each month (You can set your own day but not Saturday or Sunday).

Please feel free to Contact Us for further Information or call the Museum and leave a message (265.3308).
